If you are visiting Spain, Valencia is a perfect city to explore in 24 hours. Valencia is located on the southeastern coast of Spain and is known for its futuristic architecture, stunning beaches, and delicious cuisine. Here’s a guide to what you can do in Valencia in 24 hours.

Start your day by visiting the City of Arts and Sciences, a spectacular complex of modern buildings designed by world-famous Santiago Calatrava. The complex includes the Hemisfèric, the Science Museum, the Oceanographic, the Palau de les Arts, and the Agora.

The Hemisfèric is an immense and impressive architectural masterpiece. It projects IMAX 3D films with a 900m² screen in a space within the structure-resembling a human eye. The Science Museum provides hands-on exhibits that explain science and technology in fun ways for people of all ages, while the Oceanographic is the largest oceanarium in Europe, where you can observe different marine species and dive with sharks.

After a morning at the City of Arts and Sciences, it is time to enjoy some delicious Spanish food. Head to the Central Market of Valencia, built in 1928 and currently the largest market in Europe. You can find all kinds of fresh, local produce, meat, fish, and seafood, as well as some traditional Spanish dishes such as paella and tapas.

After lunch, walk to the Mercado de Colón, an elegant and modernist market located in the heart of the city, which was built in 1914 and recently renovated. Here, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of horchata, a typical Valencian drink made with tiger nuts.

Valencia is also a city of street art, and one of the best places to see it is the Barrio del Carmen. This bohemian and historic neighborhood has been transformed into an outdoor gallery, where you can find murals, sculptures, and graffiti art on every corner.

Finally, end your day with a stroll along the Malvarrosa Beach. This golden sand beach is a perfect place to relax, sunbathe, or swim in the Mediterranean Sea. After sunset, grab a cocktail at one of the beach bars and watch the city lights reflecting on the water.

Valencia is a beautiful city with many attractions to visit and things to do. In 24 hours, you can explore the modern City of Arts and Science, enjoy some delicious Spanish cuisine, see the vibrant street art of Barrio del Carmen, and relax on the beach. Valencia is definitely worth a visit, and you will leave this city with unforgettable memories.
